Many Good Men comes to Dunfermline this April

Thursday 2 April: 19:00

Friday 3 April: 14:30 & 19.00

East End Park, Dunfermline

Age Recommendation: 12+

Civic Digits will bring Many Good Men, an interactive theatre experience created with young people, to East End Park in Dunfermline from 2 – 3 April 2026.

Designed for audiences aged 12 and over, Many Good Men explores how online spaces influence ideas about masculinity and identity. The performance invites audiences to take an active role in shaping the story, using live theatre and digital tools to examine how harmful narratives develop and how they can be challenged.

Through participatory storytelling, the show engages with questions about online radicalisation, positive role models, and what it means to grow up as a young man in today’s digital world. Rather than presenting fixed answers, the performance creates space for reflection and shared learning.

Each show encourages audience members to step into the action and influence how events unfold, making every performance a unique experience.

Tickets are priced between £5 and £10.

“When we started researching this project, I set up an email as a young man and asked YouTube, ‘how do I get a girlfriend?’, within two hours I was watching misogynistic content that promoted incel ideology, just by letting the algorithm run. Through Many Good Men we want to find out how young people experience this, how it affects their lives and how parents, youth workers, teachers and young people can communicate about the sense of overwhelming isolation the digital broadcasting of these ideologies can create.”

Clare Duffy, Artistic Director of Civic Digits and Director of Many Good Men
